DaTaPaX legacy Applications page
Here you will find various applications for numerous operating systems.
Note that these are LEGACY. For more up to date software, check out http://datapax.com.au/ and http://quadronyx.org/.
DaTaPaX Software Licences
Freeware Licence
Most of the applications here are freeware. This means that they are
TOTALLY free to download and use as designed. This does NOT however,
give you permission to reverse engineer or modify these applications
in any way. You CAN share them with friends and colleagues however
you must distribute the "pack" as you got it. For example, if it
comes as a ZIP, you must supply the ENTIRE zip, not just the
executable.
Open Source Licence
Some applications here are "open source". This means you actually
get the source code with the application. These applications will
come with their own licences which will usually be something like
the GPL (GNU Public
Licence).
Shareware/Commercial
All the rest of the applications will be Commercial. They are
available to buy from DaTaPaX at the prices listed. They
may also have downloadable Shareware versions too. Shareware
versions allow you to try the package before purchasing it. The
Shareware versions will usually be a cut-down version or time
limited.
The SHAREWARE versions of these applications are also free for you
to give to people provided the same rules regarding the freeware
are followed. In other words the SHAREWARE versions of these
applications can be distributed as long as the package stays
completely unchanged.

About What'd I Say?
What'd I Say? shows you various information about itself.
To use, simply rename the program you are interested in, and put
this in it's place (and name). Then when the program is called,
What'd I Say? will run instead and can tell you all you
need to know.
What'd I Say? can help you find out what might be going wrong
with a program that's called from a seperate application or process.
If quite frequently you use programs that depend on other programs
(like WinCVS etc), it can soon get frustrating when you click a
button, and nothing happens. What'd I Say? MAY help.
When run, this application will display the full path to the
Executable, the current working directory (cwd) of the application,
and the parameters passed to it.
So, all you need to do is place What'd I Say? into the
directory of the application in question, rename whatdisay.exe to
the name of the executable, and then perform the operation again.
What'd I Say? will tell you exactly what the application is
being told to do.
This tool is probably mainly of interest to hobbiests,
Software Engineers, and Hardware Techs.
