murmurd-smfauth --- Authentication service for the voice chat server murmur (mumble).

About

murmurd-smfauth is a simple hack of the phpBB3 script used to allow a murmur (mumble) server to authenticate via a Bulletin Board (Forum) member database. This will allow authentication using SMF 's member database.

Requirements

murmurd-smfauth is written in perl, and uses dbus to communicate with the murmur server daemon, so requires perl, Murmur (Mumble server) and dbus. Most of these can be found pre-installed on any modern Linux distribution already. It should work on Unixes and perhaps even Windows too.

Having said that, it has only been tested in Linux (and only ArchLinux at that).
