YouTube-URL is a simple script to parse various youtube URLs.
Features include:
YouTube-URL is just a bash script and therefore only requires bash and wget.
Having said that, it has only been tested in Linux (and only ArchLinux at that).
Here is an example of using YouTube-URL to parse an embedded youtube link
Command:
youtube-url 'http://www.youtube.com/embed/dQw4w9WgXcQ?searchbar=0&iv_load_policy=3'
On success, you should see output like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
It can also get embedded vids, so something like:
youtube-url http://failblog.cheezburger.com/
And you've got some ub3r vids:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG1qcIAFSwg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24saP-TcHQk
