ANOTHER minor dpBashPodder update

DaTaPaX has updated their modification of the excellent, simple podcatcher Bashpodder (GPL) Yet again.

Check out the downloads page for a full list of what's changed.

Updates to dpBashpodder (GPL) are as follows:

1. Fixed a minor spelling mistake
2. Added continue setting so bashpodder can successfully resume after power-fail etc.

1. Fixed a minor spelling mistake in bashpodder.shell
2. Fixed some minor errors in some Xdialog calls
3. Added a check for existing entry when adding addresses to avoid duplicates.

dpBashPodder released

DaTaPaX has modified an excellent, simple podcatcher originally created by Linc of the Linux Link Tech Show, known as Bashpodder (GPL). The original Bashpodder is located here: http://linc.homeunix.org:8080/scripts/bashpodder/ .

dpBashpodder (GPL) has been modified in a number of ways including:

1. Added ability to select what files you want to download initially (you can avoid downloading some content listed in the feeds)
2. Seperated the filenames from the bashpodder.shell and bpgui.sh
3. Fixed grep parameters for URL
4. Quoted all variables incase they contain spaces
5. Only create directory if there are files
6. Skips comments (#) in bp.conf
7. wget now forks, timeouts after 5 mins, alert logger when finished

KeyCode Scanner released

KeyCode Scanner (FREEWARE) has now been publicly released! When run, it will show you the scan-codes of the keys you press. Simply press keys and KeyCode Scanner will show you exactly what the KeyCode is. It will also tell you the current Shift state (SHIFT, ALT, CTRL).

This can be useful for Software Engineers and Hardware Techs, or anyone interested in keycodes. It has also proven to be useful when writing scripts.

It's available from the Applications section as always.

Card Encoder released

Card Encoder (FREEWARE) has now been publicly released! It was originally created for a company who had a BANQUE-TEC BT904 magnetic card reader/writer but has now been released publicly.

Card Encoder allows you to encode (write to) and decode (read from) magnetic strip cards using a Banque-Tec BT904/905, serial port, reader/writer.

When this was required, We couldn't find one anywhere publicly available so we wrote one ourselves.
